Space Machines Company and Reaction Dynamics Sign MOU to Combine Responsive Launch with In-Orbit Servicing

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - 1 October, 2025 — Space Machines Company (SMC) and Canadian launch company Reaction Dynamics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore collaborative opportunities combining responsive launch with in-orbit inspection and servicing capabilities.

The announcement was made at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 in Sydney, in the presence of Lisa Campbell, President of the Canadian Space Agency, and Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency.

The partnership establishes a foundation for Australia-Canada space cooperation, with the aim of delivering unprecedented responsiveness for national security, civilian and commercial customers across both nations. The collaboration targets a 72-hour constellation recovery capability: where satellite malfunction today typically results in months or years of downtime, the combined offering would enable inspection, verification and support within days, reducing time to revenue and constellation maintenance costs.
